HPV Vaccine

 

HPV vaccine when given to 9-12 years children,

Helps to prevent 90% of HPV cancers when they get older!

The HPV vaccine is highly effective in preventing the targeted HPV types, as well as the most common health problems caused by them.

It is also recommended for girls and women age 13 through 26 years of age who have not yet been vaccinated.

The vaccine is not recommended for pregnant women.

Girls and women do not need to get an HPV test or Pap test to find out if they should get the vaccine.

However, it is important that women continue to be screened for cervical cancer, even after getting all recommended shots of the HPV vaccine.

This is because the vaccine does not protect against ALL types of cervical cancer.
